Internet provider website

A new website for AST, an internet provider in Anapa. A designer prepared the brand book; I developed the website from it and keep working on it.

The astnet.ru home page: the headline “Internet for business in Anapa”, the “Discuss a connection” and “Check address” buttons, and Mask the robot at a desk with a model of the town.

Why a new website

The company’s previous website was built on Tilda and hosted there as well. The company paid for hosting even though it had enough server capacity of its own. I suggested using it for the website.

Moving the old website would have been a separate job, and its features needed more work anyway. So we decided to build a new website from scratch. I developed it without a CMS and hosted it on the company’s own servers.

Design and Mask

A designer prepared the brand book. Based on it, I developed the website: I carried the brand style over to the pages and made them work.

A separate part of the work is Mask the robot. At first he was two-dimensional; later a 3D version appeared. I replaced the robot images on every page where he was used.

Address search and applications

I improved the address search so that visitors can check whether a connection is possible. The suggestions list buildings where a connection is preliminarily possible; a specialist gives the exact answer after an application.

The “Check your connection address” block: “Anapa, Krymskaya” typed in the field, building suggestions below and a map of Anapa on the right.
Connection address search

I set up sending applications from the website and added a CAPTCHA to protect against automated submissions.

The “Connection application” page: name, phone and email fields, the application processing steps and Mask holding an application card.

Page examples

Sections of the website have their own scenes with Mask. On the pages they are animated — the links open the originals.

Internet for a private house

Mask stands at a chalkboard and shows how the fibre runs from the pole to the house, the terminal and the Wi-Fi router. Drawn dogs bark next to him, and light runs along the line.

First screen of the “Internet for a private house” page: Mask with a pointer at a chalkboard showing a fibre connection to a house, with the Dom-30 to Dom-500 plans below.

Television

Mask watches TV from an armchair. Further down, the page explains how the service works: AST connects it and helps with setup, while the TV service itself is provided by Moovi.

First screen of the “Television” page: the headline “Television for the whole family”, Mask in an armchair with a remote in front of a TV, and below it a block on who connects the service and who provides the TV.

What is left to do

Work on the website continues. Below are plans: these features are not on the website yet.

Planned

Chat with Mask

The next task is to give Mask a chat. I plan to use a local neural network model so that he can answer questions, report outages and help create applications for connection and repairs.

Planned

Admin panel

For now, the website content is updated with scripts. A simple panel is needed so that another employee can edit the materials through a clear interface.

Once the chat and the admin panel are done, the main development of the website can be considered complete.
